Domain name prices, selling domains
buydomains.com
A domain name is like real estate.... location, location, location.
So the value of a good domain, especially one with a keyword in it is worth gold.
The difference in retail between being on rodeo drive and being a few streets over is huge. the same with a domain name.
If you are selling or buying you might consider escrow.com so that the buyer gets the domain and the seller gets the money.

Facebook fake likes: you are busted
Yesterday Facebook ramped up its efforts to crack down on the number of fake accounts and false ‘Likes’ that plague the world’s largest social network. Now that Facebook is a public trading company, transparency over the true number of authentic user accounts and the authenticity of Facebook likes is more important than ever. If people are going to invest their money in Facebook, they need to know that the quantity of users and levels of engagement are genuine.

Why likes are important on Facebook
An email I sent to the client wondering why the Facebook page was getting a bunch of likes suddenly.
I am promoting the page to get more likes.
we need more likes
1. in order to secure a name with a less awkward address, currently http://www.facebook.com/pages/General-Product-Support/91575938809
2. in order to impress some people who think less of Facebook pages with few likes.
If you need more likes on facebook, please contact jason@viralmarketing.biz

buying domains with google blogger
nice. you sign up for a domain and it is cheap, but every single domain is very hard to cancel. each domain wants you to sign in with an email and password for that account. sorry I have many accounts and didn't get a unique password for each account.. I did it under one blogger account. thanks for locking me into payments. gotta love a big faceless company you can't contact.
I went into google wallet and removed all the credit card info. You can renew domains without a unique password by clicking on a link in the email they send to your main email when it is about to expire.

Wordpress: Advantages and Disadvantages
Wordpress works well with SEO, but so does any site that is properly setup. The biggest gripe I have with wordpress is all the sites look like a template and look like a blog. There is nothing custom to it. You can manipulate it, but it still looks like it was made in wordpress and the majority just look like an updated template.
Another gripe is the continued updating of the software to prevent hackers from coming in. I feel wordpress is a risky solution for a website and HTML is safer code. However, you can always host with wordpress.com and get the ability to have your content display in their network which will help with SEO as well.
Clients think they want the ability to go in and change the web site content instead of calling you and paying you to do the updates. They actually want and use this ability about 50% of the time and still need you to do work on the site to get things right and or need training.
I also do not like the wordpress interface, I would rather work with my tools and get into the code. Wordpress is more for the beginner designers. Here is a great article that explains it the best: http://michaeldluke. wordpress.com/2011/02/19/ wordpress-vs-dreamweaver-5- reasons-to-use-dreamweaver/

Can this link tag be used to suggest a canonical URL on a completely different domain?
**Update on 12/17/2009: The answer is yes! We now support a cross-domain rel="canonical" link element.**
