Selling video content online

Places to sell video online in a pay per view or digital download situation:

iTunes
- hook up with aggregator like http://www.newvideo.com/
email them or call and see what happens
newvideo.com responded to my email enquiry within days, but they felt my DVD
would not get enough sales to meet their minimum sales figures.

Amazon
apply online via createspace.com and send off your material to them in the mail.
I got an email back within days(aug 3rd) saying
Our normal setup times are as follows:

DVD source copy - 10 business days from receipt of all necessary materials including artwork.
Amazon Video On Demand - 60 days.

This company seems very responsive. All the others seems to keep you out of the loop just waiting and waiting.

You need to have your DVD in this format: under 4.7GB and fits on a single layer DVD. If you have a dual layer DVD or it is over 4.7 GB then google "DVD Shrink"

YouTube

you can sell your video content online at youtube.com/store as a youtube video
but with DRM. You can have customers buy or rent it. I rented 3:10 to Yuma for 1.99. I think that is going to the future. Yes, you can also do google revenue partnerships, but that is based on people clicking or viewing ads next to your video. Here I am talking about selling your video for a price, nothing to do with ads.

- apply online and wait..and wait...and wait
