maps api is a complicated mess
1.first verify you have access to the domain
https://www.google.com/webmasters/verification/home?hl=en&entry=true
2. get an api key
https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/geocoding/get-api-key
assigning roles, adding people who can edit apis ect
https://console.developers.google.com/iam-admin/iam?project=maloneytech-215013
put in api key
note: you have to have billing set up on your account
